What is Beaute Neuve?
New fruit-infused Guinot Beauté Neuve is a gentle peeling facial that uses the powerful natural exfoliating properties of AHAs, combined with pure vitamin C and anti-ageing ingredients to boost radiance, reduce pigmentation and re-hydrate and regenerate the skin.
This new-generation professional peel uses a unique double-peeling system which gives a ‘controlled’ exfoliation, protecting and maintaining the skin’s natural pH. Skin is nourished and soothed with an anti-ageing regenerating serum, and pigmentation is reduced by a melanin-inhibiting vitamin C mask.
Phase 1 - Peel In / Peel Out (Double-peeling system)
Peel In is an exfoliating gel that uses AHAs, derived from sugar cane (glycolic acid), citrus fruits (citric acid), apples (malic acid) and grapes (tartaric acid) that work on the surface of the skin to loosen dead skin cells. This treatment is at the forefront of facial peeling technology. To achieve the best results, the facial concentrates on the optimum pH of the skin and the quality of the AHAs, as opposed to the percentage of glycolic acid used; this ensures a thorough, but gentle exfoliation.
This phase of the treatment is customised to suit each client. The Peel In gel is left on the skin for between 5 and 9 minutes, depending on whether the skin is sensitive, normal or oily. Once the exfoliation process is complete, the acidic AHAs are neutralised with the alkaline Peel Out foam. This gentle foam, containing amino acids and trace elements, washes away the exfoliated skin cells, stimulates cellular renewal and soothes any surface irritation.
Phase 2 – Dermanove Regenerating Serum
Dermanove is an intensive anti-ageing serum (with passion fruit extract) that regenerates the surface of the skin, reducing fine lines and wrinkles. The concentrated serum also moisturises and soothes, restoring and protecting the skin’s delicate hydrolipidic film. Dermanove is worked into the skin using a relaxing pressure point massage.
Phase 3 – Clarimasque (Vitamin C anti-pigmentation mask)
The final phase is the 10-minute anti-pigmentation Clarimasque. Pure vitamin C is the key ingredient which lightens skin by curbing the production of the dark melanin pigment. It also regenerates and protects the skin by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin and defending the skin against free-radicals and oxidants which can damage the surface layers. The treatment concludes with the application of the appropriate moisturisers.
Beauté Neuve is a multi-task facial – it can exfoliate, brighten and regenerate the skin as well as reducing pigmentation. Because the level and intensity of exfoliation can be controlled, it suits all skin types. For younger people with problem complexions, it can be used to treat oily and acne-prone skin, while more mature people will benefit from its anti-ageing and re-hydrating properties. It is a 45 minute treatment (from £40) and is suitable for all skin types (aged 16+); a course of three treatments over three consecutive weeks is recommended for optimum results.
